STOP, LISTEN, & PROCESS

STOP, LISTEN, & PROCESS

Many new actors have a tendency to hop right into the performance again after receiving direction only to have little to nothing change.

Their desire to get it right, effects their ability to fully listen to the direction and change the groundwork to alter the performance.

So, next time you receive direction, stop, listen, and process the direction. Ask questions to ensure you fully understand what is being asked of you, then go back to the work to see what needs to change in order to execute the direction.

Over time you’ll be able to speed up this process. Until then, slow down.
