Mary McCusker, Emily in Paris Director Peter Lauer, and Studio 24 Owner Cody Dorkin.
Every actor will receive a scene that will serve as a platform to explore big emotions.
This will be a great opportunity to learn from Hollywood heavy hitters, Mary Mcusker, Peter Lauer, and Cody Dorkin. They’ll walk you through how they work with stars to bring their performances to life with authentic emotions and a strong point of view.
Learn the techniques and tools used in rehearsals and on set to equip actors to do their best, most compelling work. Don’t fear the material, lean into any role with confidence, knowing how to connect with your character and deliver the authentic performance the scene requires.
INSTRUCTORS
Mary McCusker
She’s been an acting coach in LA for over 25 years and is trusted by some of the biggest talent agencies and directors in the business. Her set coaching credits include Insurgent, Big Miracle, Disney’s Up, The Conners, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Parenthood, Haunted Hathaways, and Malcolm in the middle, to name a few. Most recently she was hired as the onset coach for two thriller movies for Paramount+.
Mary is also a tenured Professor, teaching acting at both UCLA and LMU.
Peter Lauer
His career started off with MTV. He recently got back from France working on Emily in Paris for Netflix. And most recently returned from NY where he was directing on the show Younger. His other credits include: Grounded for Life, Gilmore Girls, Chappelle's Show, Malcolm in the Middle, Arrested Development, Scrubs, Chuck, The Mindy Project, Brooklyn Nine Nine, and Young Sheldon, just to name a few.
Cody Dorkin
Cody is the owner of Studio 24 and has been working in the entertainment industry for over 30 years working for almost every major studio and network. He is a Master Acting Coach with over 2 decades of experience amassing over 16,000 teaching hours with actors.
